Lillian Astor, or Lily as she preferred, was really just trying to get home. Her sister Kristina was probably worried sick about the girl. She didn’t mean to worry her sister, she just liked to walk at night.
A decision she’d regret now.
As in, now she was being shoved…
Lily blushed and crossed her arms over her torso self consciously, “I’m fine. A few more seconds and I would’ve had him.”
With the adrenaline quickly fading from his system, Jace grew self conscious of the situation. He stood quickly and cleared his throat awkwardly. “I-I’m sure you would.”
Oh god he was adorable, but then she picked up on what he was saying. “You saying I couldn’t?”
"N-No!" Jace replied back quickly as a blush rushed to his cheeks. He ran a hand through his hair before shoving his hands in his pockets. He was never good at talking to girls. God! He was such a loser…but he didn’t want her to be out here alone. "I- um- There’s plenty of creeps out here. Can I walk you home? Not that I think you need it! J-Just in case, ya know?"
Lily looked up at him, seeing if he was a true man or if he was just as bad as others. “Fine.” She said softly, “Let’s go. It’s getting cold.”
Jace let out an inward sigh of relief at being able to escort her home safely. When she mentioned being cold, Jace immediately took off his jacket and went to put it on her shoulders. He stopped, blushing deeply held out his jacket to her. “Um- you can wear my jacket if you’d like.”
